Game Sheet Information - DWSA

A "complete" game sheet makes the statistician's job a lot easier. They don't have to try and figure out who was playing, when they were playing, what the score was, who won, etc. A complete score sheet should contain the following information:

  1. The team names for both the Home Team and the Visiting Team

  2. The date & time of the game at least once at the top of the score sheet.

  3. The batting orders for the respective teams…this usually isn't a problem as it is needed by the score keepers throughout the game anyway. If there are more than one player with the same first name please differentiate between them by including a last initial or a nickname they go by.

  4. The score of the game. I have seen a couple of ways of indicating this. Either circle each team's final score somewhere where it can be seen on the respective side of the sheet or state the score of the game (eg. 17 - 14) somewhere on the sheet. If you do the latter please state which team won so the statistician doesn't have to count the individual boxes to determine which team had what score.

  5. In the game summary section at the bottom choose an offensive and defensive player FOR THE OPPOSING TEAM ONLY under the opposing team's side of the sheet. If no one was deserving of that honour during the game make note of it (either with N/A or N/C for No Candidate).

  6. The HOME TEAM (only) needs to state what the amount for the collection was (so that this can be compared to what the treasurer receives)

  7. Finally, list all of the absent players for your team in the appropriate section. If a player is on the injury or pregnancy list state this separately and note that they are injured or pregnant.
